A - Contact a priest or deacon

If you know a priest or deacon that you would like to officiate at your wedding, contact him and ask him to assist you or recommend another priest or deacon who can.  If you do not personally know such a person, it is important to know that the address where you live (or your fiance's address) ~ if both of you are Catholic ~ establishes your right to worship in and be married in the parish in which you live.  Canon Law allows you to belong to a parish of your choice; but it also establishes your right to worship in ~ and be married in ~ the parish where you (or your fiance) actually live.
