Catholic Canon Law regarding marriage & annulments.
If you are a divorced Catholic or you are a divorced person who is thinking about getting married to a Catholic, you need to know the Catholic Church “rules” about how you can be declared “free to marry (again)” in the Catholic Church. The best book about all of this is What Every Catholic Needs to Know about Marriage, Nullity and Remarriage by Rev. Roger Keeler you can order it on Amazon >>>>>>
I also recommend that you look through the questions and answers at FAQ on this web site. There is a lot of information there and I hope it will provide answers to your questions. However, if you don’t find the answers you need or if you find some of the information a bit confusing, you are most welcome to contact Fr. Rob. I will try to get back to you a.s.a.p.
One final comment here…..if you (or your partner) need to deal with the Catholic Church annulment process, you have likely heard “stories” about it being a very difficult process. But ~ before you decide it is too difficult ~ I hope you will get the FACTS about the process and what you will need to do. For example, it is often said that “if you get an annulment, your children will become illegitimate”….or “if you get an annulment it says that you never loved one another!”….or “if you get an annulment, your marriage never existed!”...all of these statements are false!
