After your Training....now what?

After you have taken part in Sponsor Couple ™ training....

1 - Click on this page of my website for newly trained Sponsor Couples so you will know it is there and can get back to it any time you might need any of this information.

2 - Usually you will minister in your parish.  Your Pastor or someone to whom he has deligated this responsibility with be in touch with you and put you in contact with a couple preparing for marriage or for having their civil marriage validated in the Catholic Church.  

I am assuming that you are now ready to take on this responsibility.  If for any reason you are not ready to do this, then call Fr. Rob Ruhnke at 210-557-3660 and we will determine what is needed so that you can move forward to begin the process of "sponsoring" this couple into the Sacrament of Matrimony. 

Step One: Get in touch with the couple you have been assigned to sponsor by phone/email/video conference.  Then the 4 of you will set up your first formal meeting on Chapters 2 and 3 of For Better & For Ever ™.

Step Two: Then set up the remaining sessions, one at a time, until you have covered all the material.  You will not know how many meetings you will have when you begin the process....you just set up "the next meeting" until the four of you agree that you have covered all the material that you all agree on BEFORE THE WEDDING (because you will have follow-up conversations AFTER they are married).

Step Three: Go to Feedback on our website and give us your feedback after you sponsor your first couple (and ask the couple you sponsored to do the same) > FEEDBACK
